The Tuscany Room

Take a trip to Tuscany in downtown Aitkin, MN. The Tuscany room has the ambiance of being in a bistro in Italy. Colorful murals along one wall depict the countryside beneath the Tuscan sun. "I wanted it to be like you went away somewhere without leaving the country" says owner Cathy Hughes. "I wanted the décor to be different, non-commercial. I wanted it to feel like you came into my kitchen." The Tuscany Room is combination coffee bar, lunch spot, and special event site. A giant island ringed by tall chairs serves as center stage for cooking classes. Several lunch specials are served every day, along with our sandwich and salad menu. Kids menu also available. Evenings can be reserved for your parties, meetings, family reunions or any get together you want to host. The menu is personalized for your event. The front of the store is called Crickets Cook's and Books and features cooking-related items, gadgets, novelties, and kitchen supplies. We have organic cotton dish towels, cake decorating items, many baking utensils, and wine accessories.
